As a new school year starts, there are new faces on campus!
Ms. Rocha returns to McWhorter while Mr. Bui is new to the Pack. To get to know them we asked some questions ranging from advice to personal goals. Take a look at what they had to say!
👟Ms. Rocha
1. What is one thing you are trying to teach yourself right now?
I want to learn how to crochet – It has not been easy but I’ll keep trying.
2. If you could turn the entire school playground into one giant theme (like a forest, an ocean, or a candy land) what would you choose and why?
Hmm.. that’s such a good question. I would enjoy like a Zen garden with a waterfall and yoga area.
3. What’s one piece of advice you’d give to your fifth-grade self?
To try new things! I’d remind myself that great things come from new beginnings and opportunities.
4. If you had a theme song that played every time you entered the office, what would it be?
I’m not sure… I asked and was told to use Unstoppable by SIA
5. Tell us one fun fact about you.
I’m kind of a sneaker head! Shoe’s are just so beautiful.
🐾Mr. Bui
1. What is one thing you are trying to teach yourself right now?
One thing I am trying to teach myself right now is to build a consistent schedule to accommodate all the activities I want to do each day.
2. If you could turn the entire school playground into one giant theme (like a forest, an ocean, or a candy land) what would you choose and why?
I would choose to turn the entire school playground into a coyote theme because it is our school mascot, and a large coyote play structure would be unique.
3. What’s one piece of advice you’d give to your fifth-grade self?
One piece of advice I'd give to my fifth-grade self is that mistakes don't define who I am, but it is what you do after those mistakes that affects who you are.
4. If you had a theme song that played every time you entered the office, what would it be?
If I had a theme song that played every time I entered the office, it would be Forever by Chris Brown.
5. Tell us one fun fact about you.
One fun fact about me is that my favorite sport used to be snowboarding, but it has since transitioned to pickleball.
